What started as a kitchen experiment during the pandemic has grown into one of Burlington's most exciting food brands. When Courtney and Arjun Rattan found themselves stuck at home during lockdown, they started experimenting with nut butter recipes, and after 10 months of perfecting the balance between nutrition and taste, NuttyHero was born.

Today, NuttyHero operates a dedicated production facility right here in Burlington at 1158 King Road, with a small team crafting every jar in small batches. Their product is a unique blend of 12 different nuts and seeds, almonds, cashews, walnuts, pecans, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, and more, chosen for their complementary nutritional profiles and their flavour.

What Makes NuttyHero Different

Most commercial nut butters rely on hydrogenated oils, palm oil, or artificial stabilizers to achieve a smooth, shelf-stable texture. NuttyHero uses none of these. Their butters are 100% nuts and seeds, with zero added oils — which means the texture is naturally a bit runnier, and the flavour is pure.

The line currently includes Original Unsweetened, Maple Cinnamon, Honey Vanilla, Chocolate Bliss, and Coconut Crunch, each keto-friendly, vegan, and free from gluten, soy, lactose, and preservatives. The entire production facility is dedicated gluten-free, soy-free, and lactose-free.

Good for You, Good for the Community

Courtney and Arjun built giving back into NuttyHero's DNA from day one. Through their Hero for Good program, 2% of all sales are donated to charity, half funding meal donations through Feed Ontario, and half supporting tree planting through One Tree Planted. Buying a jar of NuttyHero means something beyond the jar itself.

The Rattons have also built a strong local following through their presence at the Burlington, Oakville, Waterdown, and Milton farmers' markets, where shoppers can try before they buy and meet the people behind the product.

Whether you spread it on toast, swirl it into oatmeal, stir it into a smoothie, or eat it straight from the spoon, NuttyHero is the kind of product that converts people on the first taste.

Find NuttyHero at the Burlington Farmers' Market on Saturdays. Order online and learn more at nuttyhero.com.
