Meet the mother-and-daughter team turning locally sourced A2 Golden Guernsey milk into small-batch ice cream inspired by farming, family and the seasons.

For Pamela Edmunds and her daughter Karley, ice cream is more than a summer treat. It is a way to share their love of farming, cows and locally produced food. Together, the Guelph-area mother-and-daughter team created 2 Farmers & a Cow Ice Cream Co., a small-batch business rooted in the belief that great ice cream begins with great ingredients.

Their ice cream is made with locally sourced A2 Golden Guernsey milk. Golden Guernsey milk is naturally rich and creamy, giving each batch a distinctive colour and smooth texture. The company keeps the ingredient list simple and lets the milk, seasonal ideas and playful flavour combinations do the talking.

That creativity is part of the fun. Flavours can change with the season, giving market shoppers a reason to check the cooler each week. Early favourites have included Apple Pie, Brown Cow chocolate and Lemon “Mooringue” Pie, all named with the same warmth and humour that define the brand.

Behind every container is a young farm business being built from the ground up. When you pick up a pint, you are supporting a family-run Ontario producer and bringing home a dessert made with a genuine connection to local agriculture.

Find 2 Farmers & a Cow Ice Cream Co. at the Burlington Farmers’ Market on Fridays during the 2026 season.
